Larch is an extremely popular wood for your outdoor space - it is resinous, as a result has excellent mechanical resistance - resin is impervious to ultraviolet light and corrosion-resistant, making it far more durable than other woods. Moreover Larch is also extremely hard wearing, it is one of the toughest softwoods, suited to high traffic areas and resistant to knocks and scrapes Larch is perfect for both residential and commercial projects.

Larch is an attractive timber with warm reddish brown or terracotta colour with golden streaks adding warmth and character, this fades to silver/grey after prolonged exposure to sun. Colour can be preserved with use of Osmo UV protection.

Larch when untreated (and not in ground contact) has a lifespan of 50 to 60 years. When treated the life expectancy exceeds this. Posts can be cut from Scottish Oak to further help preserve deck.
