Shipping and Returns Policy

This Shipping and Return information relates to products purchased from our online store only.

The information in this page is in line with our online shop terms and conditions (view full online shop T&Cs).

Delivery

Delivery charges are included within the product price, unless otherwise labelled. 

Delivery locations:

We deliver to mainland UK and Northern Ireland.

We do our best to keep our delivery prices fair, but deliveries to the Scottish Islands may incur further charges. Please reach out to us before ordering so that we can find the best quote. If we don’t hear from you prior to placing your order, we’ll get in touch if further delivery charges need to be arranged. 

Combined delivery for multiple items:

Delivery costs have been calculated into the cost of each product. If you are purchasing multiple items, then please contact us for an amended delivery quote as combing their postage may result in a lower delivery charge for your order.

You can also get in touch with us after placing your order for a partial refund if we are able to reduce the cost of your postage and packaging. 

Delivery timeframe:

We aim to dispatch orders within 1-3 working days (excluding weekends and holidays), subject to the clearance of your payment. Under exceptional circumstances and very busy periods your order may take up to 6 working days for dispatch. 

You will be notified of the anticipated delivery date once your order has been dispatched. 

Returns & Exchanges

If you would like to make a return, please reach out to us within 14 days of receiving your order. After notifying us of your intent to return, you have a further 5 business days to ship your item to us. This is in line with your consumer rights.

Items returned within this period will be refunded in full, including the standard outbound delivery charge. Upgraded delivery charges (e.g. expediting shipping) will not be included in the refund value. 

Upon receipt of goods, your refund will be processed within 10 working days. 

Return shipping:

There is no charge for returned goods, but the buyer is responsible for the cost of return shipping, and the suitable postage and packaging of the product(s). Online products can also be returned in store.

For your protection, we recommend using a tracked delivery service.

Please enclose a note, detailing your name, order number, and reason for return.  

Return conditions:

Products that are returned must be in their original purchase state. If a product has been altered in any way (such as trimmed, marked, or treated), it is no longer eligible for return. 

If a product was specially modified by us at the request of the buyer (such as changes in length, width, or thickness), then these goods are considered final sale and cannot be returned. 

Lost Deliveries, and Faulty or Damaged Goods

Lost deliveries:

If you order is lost in transit, please reach out to Scottish Wood within one week of the products expected delivery date. 

Damaged goods:

If your order arrives to you damaged, please reach out to us as soon as possible (and within 48 hours) – supplying photos of the damaged packaging / product. If you can see from the outside that the package has received damage, then please take photos of the package before opening, followed by photos of any damage to the product itself.  

We take great care in packaging your products, but accidents or mishandling can happen in transit. If your item has been damaged, we are ready to work with you to receive fair compensation – the speed of your reply and documenting of evidence can make a huge difference to us making a successful claim with the courier. 

Faulty goods:

If your order arrives and is not fit for purpose, or is unacceptable, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery providing photos of the issues.
