Our Products and Services
Our range of homegrown hardwoods, cladding, decking, and timber services.
We supply a range of Scottish hardwoods, larch products, and timber services from our sawmill and timber shop. All of our timber is homegrown and sourced from sustainably managed Scottish woodlands, then processed and prepared on site at our sawmill in Fife.
Hardwood boards
Scottish Wood is the one of the largest hardwood sawmills in Scotland, specialising in homegrown hardwood boards from locally sourced timber. We specialise in homegrown species – primarily Oak, Elm, Ash, Beech, Sycamore and Yew. When available, we also supply Lime, Cherry, and other occasional homegrown timbers.

Larch Cladding
Our Scottish larch cladding is durable, full of natural character, and built to last – making it a great choice for both traditional and modern exteriors.

Larch Decking
Our decking is supplied in Scottish larch – a naturally durable timber with an external lifespan of 20-30 years. This means you can enjoy your new decking for decades without worrying about its maintenance.

Posts, beams and frames
The timber we supply for timber posts, beams, and frames can be used for a range of projects, from decking and pergolas to fencing, timber framing, and bespoke joinery.

Flooring and mouldings
We use locally grown hardwoods to produce quality flooring, full of natural character.
Skirting and architrave can be made to match, or bought separately to bring added quality to your existing flooring and fixtures.

Cut to Order Timber
Whether you need timber for construction, landscaping, DIY, or bespoke woodworking, our skilled, hands-on team is ready to help! We provide standard sizes as well as bespoke cutting services, ensuring you receive the precise dimensions, quantities, and species you need.

Wood for Crafts
Is this ok as the medium-length description for wood for crafts? We sell a wide range of hardwood offcuts, turning blanks, burrs, and other interesting pieces that are perfect for smaller projects, such as chopping boards, woodturning, lamps, keychains, whittling and carving, clocks… Or just a nice piece or wood to add some coat hooks on!

Firewood
All our firewood is kiln dried, making it a clean, reliable, and efficient fuel source for your home. It’s also produced entirely from offcuts and sawmill rejects, making it a sustainable way to keep cosy through the cold months!

Waney edge shelves, worktops and sills
Our waney and live edge boards show off what Scottish hardwoods are all about – natural shape, grain, and character. These pieces are ideal for adding extra character to your DIY projects.

Joinery and furniture making timber
Furniture makers, woodworkers, and joiners are some of our favourite customers, so we do our best to ensure our timber is top quality for project use.

Mantel pieces
We supply solid timber mantel pieces in a range of homegrown hardwoods – oak, elm, beech, ash, and sycamore. Our mantles can come square, or with natural edges.

Larch building essentials
At our timber shop, you’ll find our upright larch bays. In the uprights we keep a ready-to-take-home stock of all the standard essentials you might need for your upcoming project.

Rough sawn hardwoods
Trade customers are welcome to select and buy our rough-sawn hardwoods directly from the stores, before they’re processed for the timber shop. Our rough-sawn stock is sold self-select and priced on volume.

Finishes, fillers and more
We stock high quality Osmo and Rubio products, such as finishing oils, wood fillers, wood revivers and more.
